Avenues for Christian Growth

Connect Groups

An FCCIOC home fellowship group is a group of our church members who live within a small local area who meet in a member’s home in that area for bible study and fellowship. Home groups function to aid the pastor in training, nourishing, and maturing the saints who are part of this growing, geographically wide-spread church body. In contrast to the traditional bible study in which the primary emphasis is on learning, the emphasis of the home groups is on the application of what has been learned and on the carrying out of a full range of ministry functions within the small group setting (see Romans 12:6-8, I Corinthians 12:4-16, Ephesians 4:7-16).

If you are interested in attending a Connect Group in your local area, we encourage you to contact Pastor John Moore at the Church office at 540-349-0178 or 888-315-5272 for more information.

Iron Men - Men’s Ministry

PURPOSE: Throughout scripture we find reference to men and their responsibility to head the family. Our Men’s Ministry is set to help men understand their role as husband, father, or single. We seek to enhance their understanding of the scriptures and provide an atmosphere where dialogue can be carried on about issues relative to men.

OBJECTIVE: To provide accountability to men who want to be mentored in areas of their life that lack spiritual maturity; to join corporately together in times of prayer fellowship, and worship in an effort to become men modeling the life of Christ.

Quarterly, breakfast fellowships are scheduled during the course of the year. All males 13 or older are invited to attend. For more information call the church office at 540-349-0178 or 888-315-5272.

Women for Jesus

PURPOSE: The Women for Jesus Ministry was established to help women understand their role as mother, wife, or single from a biblical perspective and to enhance their understanding of the scriptures and provide an atmosphere where dialogue can be carried on concerning issues relative to women. The Women’s Ministry is set to unite women of all backgrounds in the love of Jesus Christ and help them find their place in the body of Christ.

OBJECTIVE: To provide accountability to women who desire to be mentored in areas of their lives that lack spiritual maturity; to join corporately together in times of prayer, fellowship, and worship in an effort to become women that manifest the life of Christ.

Seedlings of Faith—Children’s Church Ministry

God’s people will perish without a vision. The youth are God’s people and we do not want them to perish for lack of knowledge of God’s Word. Jesus said in Luke 18:16, “Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not, for of such is the kingdom of God.” Seedlings of Faith has a vision—to promote a firm foundation in the Lord’s Word in the early years.

The Seedlings of Faith (nursery through 5th grade) meets every Sunday morning during the morning worship service (children are received no earlier than 10:45 and no later than 11:30 for the 11:00 program)

To keep our children up-to-date for the monthly happenings, a monthly calendar and/or newsletter goes out at the beginning of each month. Upon becoming members of Faith Christian Church and International Outreach Center, children and parents are given a letter explaining the church rules for class attendance, snack and juice schedule, the meaning of Faith Bucks (reward system), and an identification number for our visual paging system. All children in grades 1-5 are encouraged to bring their Bibles, notebook, pencil, offering and SMILE to class.

Our Seedlings of Faith ministry keeps these three V’s in mind: value, victory, and validity. We are determined to be victorious over Satan in this world. We have secured devoted teachers and workers and are still on the move for the Lord. Additional Children’s Church workers are needed for support of this ministry. THE DEVIL IS DEFEATED, GOD IS EXALTED, AND JESUS IS LORD!
